But, that simply is not enough. As artists, we need to continually challenge ourselves to responsibly push our own creative boundaries to discover new and BETTER ways to design an event that is a reflection of who you are. Above all else, you need a team of professionals who is organized and able to plan ahead. Sometimes, there are unexpected situations that take place while planning an event or event during event--you need a team who can anticipate challenges and rise to the occasion if something unexpected occurs.

Our Story

Our story starts with two amazing sisters with an incredible bond and passion for celebrating all the big and small moments in life. These two women continue to fill the lives of their loved ones with an abundance of surprises and loving moments. This passion continues with their children, grandchildren, and grand-puppies. 

Our vision for Layelle Events has been to create a completely customizable event planning service to honor unforgettable life moments, regardless of the size, guest count or budget. We work within your budget to provide the services you need, be it event consulting, event architecture, or day-of- coordination. From dinners-for-two to weddings to corporate events, we help you bring those events to life.

Ralla Shrit-Erdelyi, MD

After years of planning events for family, friends (and friends-twice-removed) and community organizations, Ralla Shrit-Erdelyi decided it was time to take the next step and found Layelle Events. Not only the leader of Layelle Events, Ralla also spends her time caring for patients from all parts of the world as a physician. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago and obtained her Master’s degree at Georgetown University. Ralla was able to return to her hometown of Dayton, Ohio for medical school at Wright State University prior to moving to Cincinnati with her now-husband to continue her speciality training in Radiology.

“Layelle Events is an incredibly special family (ad)venture for me. It has given me the opportunity to work closely with my mom and experience her natural talent for design and planning in an entirely different capacity that has brought us even closer. Through my daily experiences as a practicing physician, I learn more every day about creativity, adaptability, teamwork and how to manage challenges that arise in any situation. As a radiologist, my entire role is to be the physician who pays attention to every single detail, which is what I pride myself on with respect to my role at Layelle Events. Above all else, you quickly learn as both a doctor and an event planner that life loves to throw curve balls at you and you have to always be ready to come up with new strategies and plans to deal with the unexpected—big or small.

Layelle Events presents a new approach to event planning and coordination by aiming to empower our clients to select the services they need from us. In this way, we are able to work within any budget constraints to ensure that your event runs smoothly. I have a particular soft spot for weddings—I believe that every single bride and groom should be able to enjoy their special day and it’s my personal mission to make sure they do.”
